Laurie Dummett is the founder and owner of Carcharodon. He is an internationally respected Maintenance, Turnarounds and Asset Management Specialist with over 30 years of experience across multiple sectors and continents. His specialist sectors are Chemicals and Refining where he has won national awards for his assessment, consulting and training work. Laurie is passionate about Carcharodon providing a unique, class leading and bespoke service.
Matt Gibson is a consultant, trainer and change manager with an operational background of senior roles in maintenance, engineering and turnarounds within the petrochemicals and biofuels industries. Matt draws on 20 years of experience working within multinational corporations in the petrochemical, biofuels and aerospace industries.
Matt Manley is a Principal Consultant with over 18 years’ experience in the oil refining, petrochemical and energy industry. He is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with deep knowledge in maintenance, reliability and turnarounds and has worked on a variety of strategic and technical consulting projects in companies such as Shell and BP. Matt is an experienced change manager with agile and continuous improvement expertise.
Alex Curry is an experienced business leader in the in the Refining and Petrochemicals industry with over 30 years of experience in Maintenance, Projects and Turnarounds. Alex has had senior roles both on the leadership team of a large chemical complex and as the Vice President of a £200m division of an Engineering Services company. Alex is a certified continuous improvement coach, change leader, and professional and personal mentor.
James Perry is a consultant, project manager, continuous improvement coach and chartered chemical engineer. The core of his experience lies in the Chemicals sector, including a specialist knowledge of the global acetic acid and paraxylene markets. Uniquely, James is also a software developer, and he has taken projects from the design stage all the way through to implementation and integration into organisations.
Pırıl Candaş is a Business Analyst with a background in Industrial Engineering, bringing a diverse skill set from working across multiple industries such as oil & refining, white goods and textile. Her expertise spans data analysis, process optimization, and continuous improvement, enabling her to drive efficiency and innovation within organizations.
Marie Smith has a medical and legal background, where she developed excellent communication and organisational skills, and she joined Carcharodon as Office Manager in 2020.
